Kyiv may experience similar provocations to those that occurred in Donetsk and Kharkiv, says Serhiy Yarovyy, deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, reports Interfax-Ukraine.
“There is a lot of information following the tragic events in Donetsk and Kharkiv. And right now we are receiving information that similar events will be provoked in Kyiv,” Yarovyy told journalists on Saturday, March 15, in Kyiv.
He stressed that police is trying to “respond appropriately.” “We must find the direction of the main attack, to concentrate, to gather all our forces and all our resources to prevent and avoid bloodshed, which, unfortunately, is continuing in Ukraine,” he said.
As reported, at least 50 people were injured during clashes between participants during the pro-Russian and pro-Ukrainian protests that took place on Thursday evening, March 13, in Donetsk.
