The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) plans to double the number of observers for its monitoring mission in Ukraine by the end of the current month, OSCE representative Michael Bociurkiw reported.

The observer mission will be expanded from 250 to 500 people in order to improve security, said Bociurkiw.

According to him, the organization observes violations of the shaky ceasefire every day and the ban on heavy equipment described in the Minsk Accords is not in effect.

The OSCE mission is currently active on the major part of Ukraine’s territory, however, it has no access to Russia-annexed Crimea.
