Opportunities for development of creative potential of the region will be discussed at the Kyiv Investment Forum

The development of ultra-modern metropolis – Kyiv agglomeration – is the main theme of Kyiv Investment Forum, which will be held on 17 September 2019 at the Mystetskyi Arsenal. Considerable attention will be paid to the creative potential and art as an essential part of tourist attractiveness and, therefore, economic growth in the region.

Within the framework of the event, the exhibition of works by artists who were real icebreakers of modern Ukrainian art in the world, will be held. Among them are Sergiy Svyatchenko, Yana Bystrova, Maryna Skugareva, Roman Minin, Arsen Savadov, Anatoliy Krivolap, Vinny Reunov, Oleksandr Roitburd, Vasyl Tsagolov, Oleg Tistol, Stepan Ryabchenko, Yuriy Solomko and Victor Sydorenko. Most of them are representatives of the Kyiv school of art.

Famous Ukrainian art dealer Igor Abramovych will be the curator of the art part of the Forum. According to him, today there is a meteoric rise of modern art in Ukraine. This is one of the few competitive industries in the country, and high level of achievements in this field has been acknowledged by the world community. This is evidenced by the fact that Ukrainian artists regularly participate in the prestigious international auctions, and the leading exhibition centers and museums include Ukrainian artworks.

“However, like any other rapidly developing field, art requires a constant influx of new ideas from interested community. Promoting the development of domestic Actual Art is an important step towards global integration and presentation of Ukraine as a country and Kyiv as a region with a great cultural and social potential,” Abramovych said.

Artistic activities may become a “tourist magnet”. International and Ukrainian experts will present their vision of realization of cultural potential of the Region.

“Cultural attraction of Kyiv is undeniable, however, competition between cities intensifies. One of the goals of the Greater Kyiv should be to ensure easier access to cultural facilities for all residents of the region. Strategy of cultural development must be multipolar and based on two main preconditions: easier accessibility of large symbolic cultural sites and renewal of remote cultural objects,”  Olivier Védrine, the French political scientist and President of the the Global Transformation Academy in Kyiv said.
