Russia attacked Moldova in 1992 turning its Transnistria region into a puppet “state”. In the same year, Russia invaded Abkhazia, a northwest region of Georgia. Another Georgian region, South Ossetia, was occupied in 2008. In 2014 Russia annexed Ukraine’s Crimea and launched the war in the Donbas, the eastern region of Ukraine.
As of now conflicts in Moldova and Georgia are de facto frozen, no military actions are ongoing in Crimea, but the Donbas is still restless.
